SANTASHRINK is used for shrinkage, relaxation and tensionless drying of tubular or open-width knitted fabrics. Adding the Energy Saving Chamber (ESC) or ENAIRSAVE to the drying process results in a significant boost in energy savings. SANTASHRINK is the most optimized drying process for sustainable textile finishing.
The ESC reuses energy directly, while ENAIRSAVE provides indirect reuse. Both heat recovery systems have clear advantages. By optimally utilizing the residual heat of the exhaust air, which is fed into the Energy Saving Chamber, the fabric is preheated without additional installed heating power, which results in energy savings of up to 25%.
The ENAIRSAVE heat recovery unit is installed on the dryer exhaust duct. The system is based on an air-to-air heat exchanger. It consists of a rotating heat-absorbing part. The rotating system, which is divided into two sections, is heated by the exhaust air from the dryer and it preheats incoming fresh air that returns to the dryer. In this way, the energy consumption of the dryer is reduced by 20%.
